I’ve been so looking forward to making this post! I teased a lot about the little details Erik & I planned for our wedding throughout the last (nearly) 2 years, so it only seemed right to finally fill in the blanks. By now, it’s no secret that I enjoyed wedding planning and I sort of wanted to put some of our ideas out there to see if it can help anyone who’s currently planning for their big day as well. I also realize that not everyone finds this stuff interesting, so this will be the last wedding-centric post, I promise! We will soon be back to our regular scheduled programming. Until then, please enjoy these selected photographs taken by our wonderful photographer, Alexander…
In my last post, I outlined my health throughout the past year of my life. This is a continuation of that same idea, except this time I get to talk about our wedding! The planning process has gone pretty smooth with only a few bumps along the way. Everybody involved has been so great to us – from our vendors to our bridal party and families. Without giving too much away, here’s an update of what’s been going on.
One way to complicate wedding planning is to pile health issues on top of it. Back in June and July of this year, I was really feeling the stress of having liver disease and what that meant for our wedding. Since hearing the great news that my liver seems to be behaving now, Erik & I have been able to focus on planning our big day. This will be the first of multiple blog posts that chronicle our planning process.
I’ve had quite a busy week! Last Saturday, just 2 days after returning from Knoebels, Erik & I headed back to Pennsylvania to photograph my good friend, Edwin’s, wedding. I was a little worried about how I would handle all the travel time and all the hard work that goes into photographing a wedding, but I pulled through! Erik & I both were very tired on the 2 hour drive home, but we did it!
